The Director’s Fund

This year, Wayne State University Press will honor the service of Kathryn Wildfong with the launch of our Director’s Fund. With your help, the press pledges to raise over $10,000 to support press projects and enable quick response to opportunities and emergencies. Funds might be used, for example, for developmental editing assistance for first-time authors, aid in internal emergencies (e.g., replacing computers, management systems, etc.), unique features and enhancements to print books, and innovations with our audio and ebook editions. This fund honors Kathryn Wildfong, who worked at the press for 38 years in roles that included Editor-in-Chief and Interim Director. We honor Kathryn because she stepped up more than once to provide support and guidance when the Press needed it most. WSU Press Board of Visitors will provide a dollar-for-dollar match for all Giving Day contributions in support of this Director’s Fund up to $5,000.

Wayne State faculty and staff can give via payroll deduction here.
