On September 17, we come together for our biggest Giving Day yet. Celebrate with us virtually as we support Wayne State’s amazing students, groundbreaking research and critical urban programs.
All gifts, large and small, fuel how Detroit’s university can respond to what we face now — and how we can create the better world we’re reimagining.
Here is a sneak peak of some of the challenges and matches that will make your gift go even further on September 17:
- School of Social Work Board of Visitors Match
Double your impact: The School of Social Work Board of Visitors is matching every dollar given in support of the school’s two Giving Day projects — up to $4,575.
- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Challenge
Wayne Law alumnus, Steve Stancroff, J.D. ’90, has generously donated $5,000 this Giving Day to challenge other alumni to make a gift to advance WSU’s diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
- Darrin Adams Memorial Scholarship Match
To honor Darrin Adams, sociology student and WSU custodian, and the first Wayne State University student to pass away from COVID-19, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Dean Stephanie Hartwell is matching all gifts made to his memorial fund today up to $2,000.
