College of Nursing

Giving Day contributions of every size make a major difference! Support one of these projects today or give to another area that helps the College of Nursing.

Gertrude E. Skelly Emergency Fund

The Gertrude E. Skelly Emergency Fund provides Nursing students with funds to help alleviate financial hardships that come up as a result of emergency circumstances. Today, your donation will be matched 1:1 up to $3,000 thanks to a generous alumna.

College of Nursing Scholarships

The College of Nursing awarded over 1 million dollars in student support for the 2020-2021 Academic year, supporting over 250 students. All levels of donations help to alleviate burdens for students, for instance, a $150 donation covers one semester of registration fees.

Board of Visitors Student Success Endowed Fund

Support student success, and double your impact! Your Giving Day contribution will be matched 1:1 for the amount given, up to $6,000. To improve students’ skills and their ability to achieve academic excellence, the Board of Visitors Student Success Endowed Fund provides students with supplemental instruction, peer mentoring and tutoring services.

The College of Nursing currently provides supplemental instruction for 3-4 of the most challenging courses each semester. When surveyed, 100% of students said their tutor was helpful and effective, and 95% said their knowledge was improved through additional resources. Can we count on your support?

Wayne State faculty and staff can give via payroll deduction here. Consider a WSU legacy gift in your estate plan.
