University Library System's New Power of Diverse Voices Fund

This fund will support campuswide events that inspire conversation and engagement on topics surrounding race, culture and identity. As a trusted space for dialogue, the library system is working with partners to support an annual high-profile speaker series. The series will stimulate knowledge and action across campus and create opportunities for social change in Detroit that will positively contribute to our global society. As a trusted space in the Wayne State community, the libraries are the perfect location to host these challenging conversations.

In addition to the library series, this fund will be open to Wayne State students to hold their own events in the library on race, culture and identity. Funding may go to support appearance fees and travel for speakers. Individual students or groups may apply and interdisciplinary groups are encouraged to use this fund. All events should encourage our community to consider perspectives other than their own, broaden the basis for critical thought, and promote cultural understanding.

Wayne State faculty and staff can give via payroll deduction here. Consider a WSU legacy gift in your estate plan.
